Are there School Psychologists or School Counselors eligible for LRP?

0

Licensed psychologists, LMFTs, or LPCs who practice in a school setting providing assessment (comprehensive evaluations of disability and risk), consultation regarding instructional and behavioral interventions, and direct interventions including crisis prevention/intervention, individual and group counseling and skill training are eligible for LRP. There are two issues with school based sites: they have to be in a HPSA and; they usually don’t meet the NHSC requirement for year round employment. Many community health centers with mental health providers at school based health center sites have their providers work at the main clinic when school is not in session. School/career counselors or educational psychologists providing counseling for family and academic problems, career planning, course schedules and problem solving around course selection and scheduling are not eligible for LRP.
