Are there scholarship opportunities for the athletes at MCC?
Yes, there are scholarship opportunities for our athletes, but only for division I and II sports. Sports teams that can offer athletic scholarships are; men and women’s soccer, baseball, swimming, men and women’s basketball, lacrosse, and hockey. Q: Do athletes typically go on to four year colleges and universities to continue there academic and athletic careers? A: Yes, a majority of the student-athletes move on and continue their education. Being that our sports teams are so strong it allows our athletes to gain a lot of exposure all over the country. Q: Do the athletes have academic support accessible to them if they need it? A: Yes, we have an academic advisor who works solely with our student-athletes. She registers the student-athletes for classes before the semester begins. She also tracks them several times throughout the semester to make sure their grades are sufficient. MCC also has a building which houses all the learning centers.
