Yes, that is the next logical step. Our night-vision system, which uses active infrared, is the first infrared system of its kind in Europe. It consists of a relatively high-performance bulb which produces high levels of infrared light. We have to block out the visible light with a complex filter. If infrared LEDs are used, the filter is no longer needed. Infrared LEDs are sure to play a role in the future, but their performance needs to be improved.
