Are there rules to follow when ordering Chinese food?
Although not exactly rules, there is “Chinese common sense”. I use the expression “Chinese common sense” because selecting the adequate number of dishes and the flavor combination for a banquet is very similar to the use of gender articles in Latin languages: although there are some rules, they don’t apply to all cases. Just as Spanish speakers use “Spanish common sense” to know if azucar (sugar) is of female or male gender.
