Are there rights against unfair non-renewal ?
Your policy must be in affect for 12 months before the company can refuse to renew it. This means a six month policy must be renewed to give you a full 12 months of coverage. The company must give you 30 days notice prior to not renewing your policy. An insurer cannot refuse to renew your policy because a family member reaches driving age.
