Are there restrictions on the number and weight of pieces of baggage?

0

Germanwings levies a surcharge for each item of checked baggage that is not special baggage, the amount of which you can find here. If you check in more than 20kg of luggage, an additional flat-rate excess luggage fee for up to 30kg is levied. If you do not register excess luggage during the booking process online, via the call centre or subsequently online in the My Germanwings section, you will be charged a higher flat-rate fee when checking in. If you hand in more than 30kg of baggage, as well as levying the flat-rate excess baggage surcharge, we will also levy a fee for each extra kilogramme. Each passenger may check in items of baggage up to a maximum weight of 50 kg at the desk. However, individual items of baggage must not exceed 32 kg in weight. For special baggage, such as sport equipment and pushchairs/travel cots, special provisions apply. Please make sure your name or other personal identifying mark is displayed on each piece of checked baggage.
