• Candidates for Medical Responder must provide proof of successful completion of high school (copy of high school diploma) or equivalent (GED). Candidates for the EMT-B course must show English competency at post-secondary level by placement test. EMT-I and EMT-P candidates must also show English competency at post-secondary level by placement test AND math competency at the tenth grade level (also by placement exam). Adult, child, and infant CPR certification is required for EMT-Basic and EMT-Basic refresher.
