Are there registration and/or orientation sessions for freshman and new transfers? If so, when are they scheduled?
Yes, there is a required registration/orientation for all new freshmen conducted by the combined offices of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. We require all freshmen to participate in a one-day registration/orientation session titled “Welcome to the Dawg House.” Students can choose from sessions that are scheduled in June, July, or early August. At these registration/orientation sessions you have the opportunity to meet with current students, faculty, and staff. You select your courses for the fall semester and learn about your University. Dates for the registration/orientation sessions for students who will enter in Fall of 2008 will be announced in early 2008. We will also have a transfer night to accommodate transfer student registration on a date to be announced in early 2008. You may select which day you would like to attend. We offer separate sessions for parents; at least one parent is encouraged to attend.
