As a matter of fact, no. Nor does the woman in the center of the Barrenlands cover actually exist in the book anywhere. These are the sorts of things that are dictated by marketing and the cover artist’s creative whim. I usually get the chance to send in references for my characters or other story elements, if I want to, and I’m grateful if the artists take them into account. …I note with some embarrassment that I’m apt to send in more material regarding the animals in a story than the people.
