Are there really any dangers to aspartame?
All this conspiracy about the FDA pushing aspartame has one major flaw. The power of America’s sugar industry, it is worth billions. Do you think they are happy about artificial sweeteners? I would say no, but I bet they are happy about the rumors about the cancer causing effects. Anyway, that is just my opinion. For real information including the basis of the actual studies that have been done on aspartame the American Cancer Society has some good info, and they are a neutral, reputable organization. I like that they actually explain where the rumors come from too. They are referenced at the bottom of the page so if you have access to a university search engine for journal like pubmed you can actually read the studies.
