Are there rate reductions offered if there are less than the maximum guests allowed at the property?
Yes, sometimes. Say the property will sleep a maximum of 8 people, but only 2 people are coming for an extended time period. In that case, we may accept an offer, depending on the property, to reduce the rate because 2 people will have less impact on a property than 8. However, in doing this, we will limit the maximum number of people on the rental agreement to say, “2 people” as well. The reduced rate will mean that no extra overnight guests can visit during a stay. Something to consider.
