Are there questions science can answer?
Sure. Anything from “What was there before the beginning of the Universe” all the way to “What happens after I die ?”. Science only answers questions which can be settled by an experiment. If no experiment can give a definite answer, that question is (scientifically) meaningless Concerning the first 3 questions you ask, it’s actually tricky: the consensus at the moment is that no experiment can measure those things, but nobody has proven it either — so in the current state of knowledge they do not have a scientific answer, but this may change. For the 4th one it is somewhat clearer: at the moment there is no clear definition of what the “self” is, but there probably will be at some point once we know enough about the way the brain works. Then this question can probably be answered scientifically. In the meantime this stays in the realm of “alternatives to science” (aka Religion) .
