Are there public service courses at Harvard?
While there are not designated “public service” courses, many Harvard courses cover issues that are intimately related to public interest and public service concerns. The Harvard Public Service Network keeps a list of some of the more notable courses, and you can find their list at: http://www.fas.harvard.edu/%7Epbh/psn/fascps/fosrevamp.html . In addition, it’s probably worthwhile to seek out the house tutor in the subject area you’re interested in, to ask if any professors in the department seem to have a public service bent. Finally, looking to the Harvard professional schools might be of interest. In particular, check out the Kennedy School of Government’s Registrar’s site: http://www.ksg.harvard.edu/registrar/ .
