Are there project monetary thresholds?
A.) The provisions of this section shall not apply where the total cost of all work to be performed by all contractors and subcontractors in connection with new construction of any public works project is less than four hundred thousand dollars or where the total cost of all work to be performed by all contractors and subcontractors in connection with any remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any public works project is less than one hundred thousand dollars. Sec. 31-53. B.) The Connecticut law applies to state and municipal public works projects of $100,000 or more for renovation work and $400,000 or more for new construction.
