Are there prerequisite courses which must be completed before being admitted to a graduate program?

A. Many College of Business graduate programs require students without an academic background in business to complete some “Foundation” courses. Foundation courses are not required for admission, but they do serve as prerequisites to other courses. Therefore, in order to move through a program in a timely manner, the Foundation courses must be completed either before being admitted or immediately after admission. Applicants can satisfy Foundation requirements by completing equivalent undergraduate courses before being admitted, or by completing the graduate-level Foundation courses after being admitted. In most cases, it is best to complete any missing foundations at the graduate level after being admitted to a graduate program. See the Academic Programs link for program-specific course requirements.
