No. It is strongly suggested that students take the Workshop course before taking an Advanced Seminar, but there are no pre-requisites for any courses in the history department.

Yes. You must be enrolled in V57.0101, Historical Studies: Theories & Practice in order to declare the major and you must have completed it in order to enroll in an Advanced Seminar.
