Currently, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation has no plans to renovate or rebuild Watts Branch Recreation Center. Q. What can be done to curtail the noise from trains on railroad tracks and from vehicle traffic that runs along I 295, through the Deanwood community? The DC Department of Transportation plans to reconstruct Kenilworth Avenue (Interstate 295) as part of the Anacostia Waterfront Initiative. The vehicle noise complaints will be addressed through this project. The department has no plans to implement noise barriers related to railroad activities.
