Are there plans to officially level the DRA benchmark books to F&P?
No. The DRA benchmarks books are ON GRADE level. The levels correspond with the appropriate grade levels in each of the leveling systems. The reason that there is not a “tighter” alignment is that DRA 4-8 is addressing what research tells us about reading at grades 4-8. The focus of reading is beyond the LEVEL and addresses what student can “extract” or “glean” from the given text.
