Are there plans to launch an Ingres Involve Certification Program?
Yes. We plan to introduce Ingres Involve in phases that allow for certification requirements to be met over a period of time. Partners who join the Ingres Involve program prior to the certification requirements will be grand-fathered in and any training investment that has been made will be taken into consideration. When introduced, sales certifications will focus heavily on opportunity identification, positioning, and presentation of the Ingres TCO value proposition. Technical certifications will focus on partners who have the skill set to deliver assessments, version upgrades, and build customer confidence with the open source model.
