Are there plans for the CORS to eventually cover the entire state?

Yes, that is the current plan. Our current plan is dependent on funding and available resource allocations. The plan also includes expanding the areas covered by Wisconsins Height Modernization Program (HMP). HMP is a program sponsored and supported by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) that enhances the vertical component of geodetic control in Wisconsin. New or existing bench marks are surveyed to provide new or updated vertical elevations and/or horizontal coordinates for stations throughout the state. HMP involves thousands of kilometers of leveling and GPS observations of thousands of bench marks. Our plan is that WISCORS and HMP will cover the entire state.
