Are There Plans for Star Wars Episode 7?
Episode IV does a great job of bringing the Star Wars saga to a satisfying close. Good wins over evil and we are left with a sense of good and feeling of hope even in Darth Vader. Plus we have the expanded Star Wars universe that includes officially licensed works that fall outside George Lucas’ 6 episodes. This encompasses: • The Thrawn triology • Comic books • Video games • Spin-off films • Toys Does this leave room for a Star Wars Episode 7? There’s nothing currently in the works. However, MTV reports that there is a live-action Star Wars TV series planned. Based on what George Lucas has said, the show’s focus will be on minor characters from the period between episodes III and IV. Rumors have it that the shows will be filmed in Australia, but that is unconfirmed. The good news is that it the show is supposed to debut in 2010. It may not be episode 7, but it will be something new.
