Are there places to eat without having to drive into Kona?
The Ocean Club Bar and Grill at Hali’i Kai serves a variety of island-inspired lunches and “pupus” (appetizers) Monday-Saturday 11:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. In the Waikoloa Beach Resort, of which Hali’i Kai is a part, there are two golf courses very near the community, Kings Course and Beach Course-both of which offer dining in their Grills. The Kings Course, located adjacent to Hali’i Kai, features the Kings Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Beach Course’s Beach Grill serves lunch and dinner. The Kings Shops, located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, provides several dining options from casual to upscale. The Kings Shops also includes a small, yet comprehensive, convenience store. The Shops at Mauna Lani, about a 10-minute drive away, include a selection of restaurants and shops.
