Following months of spy pictures, speculation, teasers (including videos) and very little official information, the Jaguar XJ will finally be unveiled tomorrow (Thursday, 9th of July 2009) during an exclusive event in London. That is when more intimate details and full images will be available. For now take a closer look at these leaked pictures. The next XJ is promised to be the new class-leader in a segment led by the BMW 7 Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, as well as the Audi A8 and the Lexus LS. Jaguar seeks to reclaim its spot alongside these luminaries after years of being sidelined by both buyers and the motoring media. Jaguar is using aerospace-inspired aluminium body architecture for the first time in a car with the XJ. The technology is next-generation stuff and is likely to filter down into other next-generation Jaguars.
Jaguar is working on a new generation XJ sedan. It is assumed that the car will premiere in early 2010. The machine already runs a road test. New car is equipped with new aluminum chassis and an automatic transmission in the six speeds. Under the hood topmark versions XJ determine pyatilitrovy charged V8. Also on the market appear modified engines volume of 4.2 litre V8 and V6. Outwardly 2010 Jaguar XJ concept recalls C-XF, submitted last year. There’s hardly a hint of the curves and shapes that Jag is better known for, shapes that go back to the 1950s when body panels were fashioned by hand. The XK and XF started this shift toward contemporary styling; the XJ now tops it off. There’s no doubt the new XJ possesses an incredible degree of road presence, helped by the more upright nose. It is a more sophisticated development of the XF’s oblong grille. These pictures are a taste of the new Jaguar flagship. The plan had been to keep the pictures secret until the official reveal at a gala event to be hosted by Jay Leno in London tonight. But leaks on the Internet, thought to originate form Poland, have forced Jaguar to reveal these images earlier than planned.
