No. The Encampment area is primitive with no improvements. The terrain is rolling hard pack earth with impediments and foliage. Narrow wheel wheelchairs are strongly not recommended. WILL a fishing license be required to fish at the lake? Yes. Anyone who is 16 years old or older will need a California Fishing License. One-day licenses can be purchased at most sporting goods stores, Wal-Mart, and at Prado Regional Park. In addition, Prado Regional Park has a $7 fee to fish in the lake.
