Are there Parallels Between Prometheus and Yeshua?
Prometheus Bound is just one of many mythological stories that some like to mention in order to discredit the gospel message and life of Yeshua the Messiah. The group that we are having to contend with in the Messianic movement today is the Jewish anti-missionaries, who are targeting Christians interested in their Hebraic Roots for conversion to Judaism. Many of these people who are examining their Hebraic Roots are spiritually nave, and have been influenced by sensationalistic teachings that harp on the paganism of Christianity. They are easy targets for believing that the gospel message of Yeshua has been borrowed from pagan mythology. Anyone who is objective can see that there are a few parallels between the story of Prometheus and the life of Yeshua. Prometheus was a god who came to Earth to help mankind.
