Formed in 2003, ChicagoFIRST was the initial regional public/private partnership within the financial sector. Given its success, the approach has been replicated in more than a dozen regions of the country. In 2006, ChicagoFIRST formed a regional partnership council to foster information sharing and communication among the partnerships.
