Are there other governmental instruments available for protecting coats of arms?
A commonwealth can file civil action to protect public interests as well as to protect its own interests in the legal use of coats of arms and public designations. The commonwealth can also request assistance from the Customs Administration. This assistance (withholding of goods) is of a temporary nature, however. An official proceeding must be sought from the court within a certain time period.
