Yes, a handful of other developments can be found on Daufuskie Island including Melrose and Bloody Point. Other developments include Oakridge, primarily offering beachfront properties, and the Webb Tract, which, although undeveloped at this time, has been permitted for a full-scale marina with shops and services that will rival Harbour Town. Much of the charm of Daufuskie Island has been preserved in the Historic District where the 100-year-old First Union African Baptist Church is located. The modern schoolhouse provides pre-K through 5th grade teaching facilities and a renovated museum contains many ancient artifacts and treasured memorabilia.
