Are there opportunities for special assignments and promotions?
UCLA PD offers many specialty assignments. After a police officer completes their probationary training period, he or she is eligible to compete for assignment to one of the following specialty assignments: Lead Officer, Traffic Investigator, Field Training Officer, Motor Officer, Background/Training Investigator and Detective.
