Are there new ways of wearing patterned shirts and ties with patterned suits?
One rule of thumb: Avoid tripling a pattern. Doubling up is fine, but if you choose to wear a pinstriped suit with a pinstriped shirt, for example, your look will be much more harmonious with at least one item in the equation kept solid. Wearing a striped shirt and striped tie with a solid suit is perfectly fine provided the scale of the stripes vary in size and the colors are complementary. Furthermore, always choose a tie that shares a color with one other element in your ensemble, such as a belt or pocket square. I can’t decide between a two and three-button suit. Any suggestions?
