Are there new requirements or qualifications for persons who have provided supervision for a trainee prior to November 26, 2008?
By November 26, 2012, all supervisors for LCSW applicants who provided supervision prior to November 26, 2008, must obtain professional training in supervision, consisting of a three credit-hour graduate course in supervision or at least 14 hours of continuing education offered by a provider approved under Regulation 18VAC140-20-105. The graduate course or hours of continuing education in supervision shall be obtained by a supervisor within 5 years immediately preceding registration of supervision.
