Are there motorized vehicles that one can ride on the streets in Ontario without a license or insurance?
Not if it meets the definition of scooter or moped in the highway traffic act, but there are low speed vehicles that you may either avoid a licence or possibly insurance. Details are on the MTO site. Think “low speed” and there are some electrics that would qualify, but I think you will be aching for a scooter or motorcycle. So you don;t ache in another way, remember the safety gear and learn your traffic laws and safety skills. You’ll need then on the road even if you do not have a licence.
