A2: There are no minimum amounts for ACG/SMART. The maximum amount for ACG 1st year is $750 and for 2nd year is $1300. The maximum amount for SMART for 3rd and 4th year is $4000 each year. An institution must decrease the total aid amount (does not necessarily have to be ACG/SMART) if the maximum amount allowed will over award a student. In this regard, the over award rules resemble SEOG more than PELL.
