Are there many people from Irish Ancestry in the Kansas city area?
The German population is much larger than the Irirsh population, but both are large. This web page will tell you about the history of Kansas City. During the 1850’s on hundreds of thousand of Irish immigrants came into the United States, (mostly on the east coast in the 1850’s) and as transportation got better, they eventually started emigrating here to, along with hundreds of other cities. However German immigrants litterally poured into Missouri. Missouri used to have 3 german language newspapers. There were several towns that spoke German only.
