Are there many hotels, b+bs and motels along US50 in California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado?
If you are doing any kind of travel you should invest in AAA. Not only could you get stuck on the road and pay a fortune out of pocket for towing alone, but AAA will also come out with gas to get you to the next station when you thought you could push it that extra couple miles. AAA gives discounts on some hotels and you can map out your trip with them – they’ll have listings of the hotels/motels and will probably have ratings on them so you know which to stay away from. Just in case your wondering, I do not work for AAA. I have been a member for over 20 years though and have never had a bad experience. Enjoy your trip – I’ve always wanted to see Colorado.
