Yes, some of the K solutions in Signal FFS™ are only valid through a certain range of geometries. Cylinder Limits: Crack Depth (a) must be less than or = 2 * Crack Length (c) Wall Thickness (t) must be greater than or = Inside Radius Sphere Limits: Crack Depth (a) must be less than or = 2 * Crack Length (c) Wall Thickness (t) must be greater than or = 1/3 Inside Radius Fillet Weld Limits Crack Depth (a) must be less than or = Crack Length (c) Weld Toe Radius (rho) / Base Plate Thickness (t) must be between 0.01 and 0.07 Weld Angle (alpha) must be between 30 and 60 degrees Weld Toe Length (L) / Base Plate Thickness (t) must be between 0.16 and 4.0 It may be possible to extend some of these solutions.
