ARE THERE INCENTIVES TO HELP PAY FOR THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENTS?
There may be incentives or financing options available through NYSERDA or your local utility to assist with energy efficiency improvements. However, a customer cannot accept incentives from NYSERDA and their local utility for the same improvement. For example, if a customer receives a rebate from a utility after purchasing a new furnace, they cannot also obtain an incentive payment from NYSERDA in connection with the same purchase. It may be a conflict to accept state funds from different sources for the same measure. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the applicant to check the eligibility criteria from each funding source to determine if combining such funds would be allowed. GJGNY will provide access to financing options that may assist you in financing the remaining costs of the project, as explained below.
