Are there historical points-of-interest along the routes?
Yes. Each route explores a different part of Scotland County, including the scenic Lumber River and even high points of interest such a crossing the path of ShermanÃs March to the Sea during the Civil War. On event day each rider will receive a route specific historical sheet, detailing point-of-interest for each route. General historical information about each route is also provided on this website.
