Are there harmful ingredients in food coloring that affects plants?
Many food colors come from plants and therefore should not effect them. Some are manufactured, but they are tested to see that they do not harm people, so should not harm plants. Some people and animals are allergic to the colors, and there is some research into effects of food colors on behavior in children, especially hyperactivity.
