There are four different types of guns in Jak 3, (yes, to kill bad guys) and they are catagorized in four different groups. Each color represents a group. There are three levels of guns for each color/group Red:1st Shotgun, 2nd Shotgun(Blast radius), 3rd Grenade launcher Yellow: 1st Rifle, 2nd Stronger rifle, 3rd Rifle with bouncing bullets Blue: 1st Machine gun, 2nd Heat seeking Machine gun, 3rd Burst shot heat seeking Machine gun. Purple: 1st Blast nova 2nd&3rd I havent unlocked yet, so i am unsure.
