Are there grammar schools (selective schools) in Warwickshire?
There are selective schools in both the eastern and southern areas of Warwickshire. These schools offer places based on the results of selection tests normally at age 10+. Children living within the priority areas of the schools are given a higher priority for entry than children living outside areas. If your child attends a maintained primary or junior school in Warwickshire, the school will give you further information in the summer term of Year 5. Otherwise, contact the Admissions Service for advice. Late registration means that you child will not be included in the first round of offers. The closing date for entry to a grammar school in September 2011, is the 16 July 2010.
