Are there good programs/games to practice playing chess for beginners?
The site looks pretty old, but Princeton’s site “Chess is Fun” (see link below) offers some great information about the game, strategy and links to an online Java-based chess game. There is also an extensive list of links (although some are dead, there’s still a good list) to chess information on the web.
