Are there food distribution programs for Native Americans living on or near Indian Reservations?
Yes. The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations is a Federal program that provides commodity foods to low-income households, including the elderly, those living on Indian reservations, and to Native American families residing in designated areas near reservations. Additional information can be found on the information guide titled Food and Hunger which is available through RAC. See the Funding section for several food related funding opportunities as well as the FAQ section where there are several questions related to food assistance programs, WIC, and food stamps.
