Are there financial services available to OSSTF/FEESO members?
• OSSTF/FEESO members are automatically registered in the Edvantage program (www.edvantage.ca) which gives members significant discounts for products and services offered by participating companies. • Educators Financial Group (EFG) (www.educatorsfinancialgroup.ca), formerly known as Ontario Teachers’ Group, is owned by OSSTF/FEESO. EFG is an independent financial institution that provides financial planning advice, mortgages tailored to the reality of the education sector such as 10-month mortgages, variable rate, fixed rate or combined fixed/variable rate mortgage options, and a wide variety of other financial services for OSSTF/FEESO members and their families. • Should an OSSTF/FEESO member encounter serious financial hardships, OSSTF/FEESO can assist members, through a confidential application to the Benevolent Council, by providing a taxable grant (non-repayable) of up to $2,500 in a year to qualifying OSSTF/FEESO members.
