Are there financial awards available for PhD students?
Yes. Nearly all the students accepted in to the PhD program in Epidemiology receive both a stipend and a tuition scholarship from the Emory Graduate School. Students receiving this award are also provided with money towards the Emory student health insurance. Assuming adequate progress towards the degree is maintained, students receive this award for 4 years. Additional fees such as parking, activity fees, computing fees, etc. are the responsibility of the student. Students with an interest in reproductive, pediatric, perinatal or environmental epidemiology may have additional funding options.
