Are there exemptions to Title V requirements?

Major sources whose actual emissions are or can be reduced below Title V thresholds may be exempt from Title V requirements in one of two ways: 1) Operators may modify their facility or permit to limit their potential to emit to below Title V thresholds; or 2) Operators may choose to comply with the requirements of District Rule 2530 (Federally Enforceable Potential to Emit). Facility operators interested in pursuing these options may contact Permit Services staff at their regional offices for more information.
