Formerly identified as “critical needs” teachers, persons with Interim certificates may meet the highly qualified standard through the Program for Alternative Certification for Educators (PACE). Candidates must complete all requirements for PACE, including the in-service requirements and passing the content area exams of the Praxis for each subject that they teach.
