Are There Electrical Outlets?
Electrical outlets for modern passenger rail service are commonplace, but not quite universal. Amtrak has an electrical outlet under each window in most of the rail cars in its fleet, although the Superliner Coach cars have only a few electrical outlets. Outlets are also common in Europe and Japan. Even India’s railway has electrical outlets as a standard feature on rail cars with air conditioning.
