Are there DVD players that have both HDMI & RCA connection for audio?
Answer All currently available upconverting DVD players will have more than just a single HDMI output, so you could use the RCA stereo outputs, or the digital audio output (S/PDIF). One option you may consider, is simply using the computer for DVD playback, as it will also “upconvert” the playback for your monitor’s resolution, in some cases with better quality than a stand-alone DVD player (especially a $30-$60 DVD player, and more-so if you have a newer graphics adapter).
