Are there direct inputs for home and limit switches in an SSCNET interface system?
No. Some models of the Mitsubishi MR-J2 Super AC servo drives have committed (digital) home and limit switches; others do not. Currently, there are no hard-coded limit switch functions for the SSCNET interface system for ServoWorks CNC or SMP products, whether or not the servo drive has direct inputs for home and limit switches. Simulated limit switch functions using general I/O and PLC should be used instead. TOP Q: Are there different product versions for different servo interface systems? A: Yes, because the GUI for the I/O display changes for different servo interface systems.TOP Q: Can IM-305s be used with the MECHATROLINK or SSCNET servo platforms? A: Yes, an optional VersioBus II I/O network can be included with these servo platforms. A VersioBus II adapter card must be plugged into a dedicated PCI slot, ISA slot or PC104 stacking connector on the PC to provide the communication for the I/O network. This adapter card also provides an encoder and digital I/O connector for a handw
